Etsy Inspired 61!!!

Hi there!!! :) This weeks Etsy Shop is probably my my absolute favorite so far, and I have been on the team for quite a while now! :) The shop is called Jared In Kansas and it is a beautiful photography shop! I am in love with EVERY single one of these!!!! When I first looked at the shop my jaw dropped to the floor! :)

There was the one dandelion photo that just had me completely drawn to it:

I took the stunning colors from this photo, and made them into this:

Raine has so much jewelry that she loves to play with, so I decided she needed a jewelry box of her own! :) I recently made a trip to AC Moore and picked up a few items, and new that these would make an awesome combo! :)

Friends With Flair Friday! :)

Welcome to another week of Friends with Flair Friday, brought to you by the wonderful customers and DT of Unity Stamp Co! :)

This week I decided to work on a layout with another photo of Raine at the fair :)

Now since I don't have a sewing machine.... keep in mind all the sewing I did on this layout.. yup.. all hand stitched! But the work was worth it because I love the look of this layout :)

The layout is this weeks sketch from 52 Sketches 52 Weeks

The Unity Stamps I used on this layout are:
Floral Friends- I used to bud of the one of these flowers to make the very center of all the flowers
Growing in Unity- I used one of the scrolls as a template for my stitching that is on the bottom right corner of the photo
Sept 09 KOM ( Go Ahead... Wish) - I used the calender flower for the orange base of my flowers and then stamped the other flower onto pink and orange DP and cut them out for more dimension.

Limelight Sketch 32 and Guest DT for a day! :)

I am so honored to be able to get together with the Limelight DT and some of my Etsy DT girls for this weeks Limelight Sketch Challenge! They are on sketch 32! :)

Etsy Inspired Challenge 56

Hello everyone! :) It is week 56 for the Etsy Inspired Challenge!

This weeks shop is Kharlie Bug! :) They have the most beautiful bags in this shop! :) They have totes, make up bags and more! Make sure you check out the ones that have already been sold too, for more inspiration!

Isn't that the most adorable bag??? It was definitely my favorite out of the whole shop! :) I knew I had the perfect DP for this too! :) So here is my layout:

The sketch is from 52 sketches 52 weeks :) It is sketch 39. When we went to the fair the other day, they had a fake cow that you could milk, and Raine just had to do it! :)

Friends With Flair Friday! :)

Hello there! :) Today is another Friends with Flair Friday, brought to you by the one and only Unity Stamp Company!! :)

I decided to go along with this weeks sketch challenge on SCS. I kind of changed it up a little bit because I didn't use any DP. Instead I scored 3 lines as a "frame" of where the DP would have been :)

Here is my card:

I took SU kraft as my base, scored the lines as my frame, added the black strip that I punched with my fiskars punch, and then added my stamped panel. To make the panel I stamped my sentiment with versamark, added black embossing powder, and used my heat gun. I layered it with black cardstock, and then kraft card stock. This panel with lifted with pop dots. As a final touch I added a punched butterfly using my Martha Stewart butterfly punch.

So as most of you know, Unity has been having a Bachelor challenge, featuring the handsome Ryan Broman! :) Each week, (for 7 weeks) Ryan gives a new challenge that he wants and everyone participates :) Week 3's challenge was to use plaid and polka dots. I automatically knew what I wanted to make when I saw the challenge! This weeks is the the Fryeburg Fair.. the biggest fair in Maine. People from tons of states come to see this fair. This fair completely inspired this card:

World Card Making Day Creations

I wanted to share the cards I made the day after World Card Making Day (I was working Sat. so I couldn't create until Sunday) I participated in 4 of the challenges on SCS. The Unity challenge, The Stamping Bella challenge, the Flourishes challenge, and the Splitcoaststampers challenge!! :) I had such a blast! And a even got a bonus out of the deal, I was one of the winners for the Unity challenge! I can't tell you how excited I am!!! :) Thank you to Unity and Angela for my prize! :)
So here are my creations!

Etsy Inspired Challenge 55

Hello ladies! :) (I know.. I swear start with the same thing all the time!)

It is week 55 of the Etsy Inspired Challenge! :) This weeks shop really touched me this week. I totally love the natural look to everything! It is all sooo beautiful! The shop is called The Salty Cat Co. I am not lying when I say I love every single piece in this shop.

Here is my inspiration piece:

I loved the green wooden beads. They have such a natural feel to them! They COMPLETELY inspired layout!! :)

The journaling on this picture reads "The beauty in Maine is incredible at this time of year. The leaves are changing, it's getting cool, and the water is calm. My favorite time of year. I am in complete bliss..."

I would say being at the lake on a calm, clear night is one of my (if not my ultimate) favorite places in the world! I love sitting under the stars and just being able to have a clear, peaceful mind.

Today is the first day of a new Unity tradition. We are out with the old (Hip Hop Hangover) and we are in the with the new (Friday Friends with Flair) :)

I can't wait to see what else Angela has in store for us when it comes to new stuff :) I know whatever it is will be fabulous!

I came up with a pretty simple card:

I stamped the background and the pink card stock with Hearts of Old, and then used the bird image from the August 09 KOM. :) I thought this fun American Crafts ribbon would be a good addition.

Hip Hop Hangover!

Wow... I haven't done a hip hip hangover in quite a while! Thanks for stopping by my blog to see what I have to share with you! :)
Unity has been a company I have loved for almost 1 year now, and I love how well I am treated as a customer! Unity definitely will continue to keep getting my service! :)
I decided since it was the last hip hop(sad, but we all know Angela will bring something amazing to the table for us customers) I wanted to participate this week. I decided to go with a nice and easy CAS card :)

I took my kraft card stock, then score some border lines on it, took some more kraft and matted it with choc. chip card stock. I stamped the bird on the branch image from the August 09 KOM, and the matching sentiment. I masked the branch and stamped on my ink pad with white ink, then did the chestnut roan ink, and then added the olive to the leaves. Added some pretty and ribbon and that was it! Easy! :)

Right when I saw the schoolhouse image from the August Unity KOM, I knew I wanted to pair it up with numbers ect, and some lined paper. Then I decided that some bright school colors would be a fun touch. :) So here is what I ended up with from those ideas:

Hi there! :) This weeks Etsy Inspired Challenge shop is Miss Kwitty's Cottage. She has such gorgeous things in her shop, especially the ones with all the little birds! :)

Masculine CAS card

Hey ladies! :) I decided to play along with the CAS challenge! The challenge this week was to make a masculine card! I automatically pulled out my kraft card stock knowing I wanted to use it.

So I used some kraft card stock, and stamped out the Dream Tree from the Growing in Unity kit by Unity Stamp Co. Then I took my olive green colorbox chalk and sponged it under the tree.
I then used my grid mat to draw out where I wanted to cut my tag. (yes I make my own.. I don't have a punch lol) I stamped the sentiment from Simply Said by Unity Stamp Co. I added it on to some twine, and then took my SU ribbon and put it all together :)

Happy Birthday to my beautiful daughter Raine. :) 4 years ago I gave birth to a gorgeous little baby. I had no idea how much this little girl would change my life. She is my motivation for everything. She makes me smile every day I wake up. She has made me appreciate everything in life.

It's a new day

Hi ladies! :) I decided I am going to make my birthday kind of like New Years Eve. I am going to make a resolution(or a couple).
1.) Put more time into my blog (post more often, list all supplies used, take better photos of my work)
2.) Stop by YOUR blogs more often. You are all so amazingly talented and deserve to be told so.
3.) I am going to start taking better care of myself. I woke up this morning realizing how truely blessed I am. I want to be here for Raine as long as possible.
4.) I want to focus on getting more RAK cards out in the mail. I have gotten such beautiful cards from my friends for my birthday, and I need to start showing the love back to you!

Growing in Unity Day 4

Well... I can say for some reason I lost my mojo. I tried to make a million cards and layouts, and couldn't come up with one that I felt is worth it for Growing In Unity. But it is now 11:30 at night and I have to wake up at 3:30 for work, so I am sorry that I am settling.

Here is one of the cards I made:

I know it is simple but I think the soft candy colors are cute! Hope it is not too disappointing! It uses the candy stamps and sentiment from the August 2008 KOM Remember Happiness.

Wow it is my third day of Growing in Unity already! :) I love that I am getting to share all my work with you. Thank you to everyone for your sweet comments. I am cherishing each and every one of them. :)

So I kind of feel like this layout is missing something.. so I may be back to add more to it after I watch Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince at the movie theater! Is anyone as excited about it as I am? I am even going to where my Dumbledore's Army shirt *grin*

Growing in Unity Day 2

Hi again ladies! :) Today is day 2 for my Growing in Unity week! I decided for today I just wanted to share a simple card using an image from Little Me and a sentiment from August 2008 KOM.

I took Bazzill card stock and layered it with a pink of piece of Bazzill card stock that was embossed using the Cuttlebug. I then took another piece of the black Bazzill card stock and layered on my white cardstock with the image on and sentiment on it that has an edge punched out using the fiskars border punch. I added stitching and then ribbon. :)

Growing In Unity Day 1!!!!!

Wow I am so excited that it is my week for Growing In Unity!! :o)
Anyone that comes to my blog knows that I **LOVE** Unity Stamp Co! From the fabulous crew at the company, to the amazingly talented design team to the yummy delicious red rubber stamps all the way down to the crazy talented Unity artists and customers!!! :) I have made some of my best friends through Unity which to me is an incredible part!

Unity is going to be at CHA so if you are going(I am so jealous if you are!!) make sure to stop by the

I found Unity in October of last year. I have been in love ever since. I can't remember the last time I used stamps other than Unity! Especially now that I am a Kit of the Month Member! woo hoo.. a post!

yay.. I am posting for fun! lol Since I have been working at my new job so much lately, I haven't had time for blogging! But I have decided I need to focus on it more! I love everyone who comes to visit me and always leave me encouraging words! So thank you! :)

I just wanted to share a couple things real quick. First up is a card I made for fun with my new Bevy of Butterflies set. I got this set since I *finally* signed up for the Unity Kit of the Month!!! :)

And these last couple album pages are the other pages to my Father's Day album I made for Jeff( yes I got it finished on time :) )

Card and a layout

Hello ladies! :) I made a card and layout since yesterday! woo hoo!

The layout is monochromatic for the Unity Guest DT KOM challenge. I would love to make this spot as Unity is my DREAM TEAM, but everyone that has entered is so amazingly talented! :)

The picture of Raine and I was taken last spring when we went to Disney World. We were waiting for the night parade at the Magic Kingdom, so I took the picture. :)

I really used my stamp-a-majig for this layout. I use it for the swirls on the layout that are in a row, I used it for the I love you sentiment, and I used it for the lollipop trees at the bottom. I layed down my DP and hand sewed the zig zag at the top of it since I don't have a sewing machine. I added the pink layer and added the shine sentiment, and stamped the butterfly on vellum with versamark, and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I layered my picture down, and added buttons. I added the lace, and stamped the lollipop trees on white cardstock, and the colored and cut them out, and adhered them down.

Hello ladies!! :) I just want to say a big Happy Mothers Day!!!! I love each and everyone one of my online girls so much! And even if you aren't a mom, you deserve to be celebrated too!

Being a mom is the most incredible thing on mothers day, but being a women is just as important. We are all daughters and friends. We give each other a helping hand (and even a hug) when it is needed, and we are all motherly. So to everyone out there, Happy Mothers Day! :)

And a huge hug to my Unity girls ( you know who you are) I love you all so dearly and hope you have a fabulous day! {{{hugs}}} :)

Unity KOM Guest DT challenge

So this past week was Unitys' birthday! :) Happy Birthday Unity!!! And there were some fabulous challenges that I participated in! (still a couple more to do).

But the best challenge was the KOM challenge. The challenge was to follow a sketch we were given by the incredibly sweet and talented Jennifer Buck. What does the winner get??? The best opportunity ever.. to be guest DT for Unity for a month. wow right???

So here is the layout that I made :)

I layered the blue dp onto chocolate card stock. Then I stamped worn music onto the ivory with colorbox chalk chesnut roan. I took another blue sheet, and stamped it with royal day background using versamark, and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I then layed down my photo and lace. The beautiful memories circles were stamped on ivory with colorbox chalk chesnut roan, and then punched out and layered on chocolate. I stamped my journal box, and used my stamp-a-majig to put on the letters using just my type aplha set. I stamped out my dress form, and my shine sentiment, and then journaled. Then embellishments were added. :)

Hello everyone!!! :) Hope everyone is doing well this fine Saturday!!!

My daughter Raine has always had super crazy hair, and with the fur of the critters, I figured it was a perfect match! :-)

My Time Template Challenge

Hello ladies! :) I just wanted to quickly share a My Time Template that I made. You can find all the templates by Lauren Meader at Papertrey Ink. All of Lauren's My Time Templates are extremely versatile!! The are perfect for giving gifts, and everyone should have them! There are even 2 that are free!! Here is the link to the templates.

Lauren had a challenge on her blog. It was to take inspiration from bath products you have, and make a template to go along with them. My bath products are Love Spell from Victoria's Secret.

So here is the template I made:

Hello ladies!!! :) It is another wonderful Hip Hop Hangover using Unity stamps!! I have 2 cards to share with you from yesterday's hip hop challenges. One of them was to use a bow on your card. I actually ended up using 2 tailored bows. :)

Ky's challenge!

So my amazing friend Ky posted a challenge on her blog. It was to make a scrapbook page with something/someone dear to your heart what/who is not already in your scrapbook. I chose that certain someone to be my Mom. I had pictures of Raine with my Mom that I love, so I used those! :)

Etsy Inspired 30!! Wow! I cannot believe Etsy Inspired is at 30 already! It is incredible to me! I am so honored to be part of this fabulous team!

This weeks shop is Lauren Alexander art. The artwork in this shop is truly incredible! Every piece is so inspiring. All during the month of April, they are offering free shipping! Wow right???

To participate, all you have to do is pick something from the shop that inspires you, and then go create! You can make anything! A necklace, a cupcakes, a card, a scrapbook layout, whatever you please. When you are done, link up a picture of it to Ashley’s blog, and you will be entered to win a free pendant!!! Good Afternoon! :-) I found out last night that I was picked by the PCP Super Nova's to be the Scrappy Sunday April Guest Designer!!! I am sooo excited to be part of the team for this month! Each week a new sketch is put out for people to play along with, so if you get the chance I would love for you to play along and join us! :)

Onto other things, the amazingly talented Jennifer Buck has started her own scrapbook challenges. They are Clean and Simple. I am not very good at clean and simple, but I decided to play along anyways. I hope she doesn't mind it isn't as clean and simple as hers! :)

Hello again! :) This week we have an awesome shop for the Etsy Inspired challenge! It is Handmade by Rebecca. She has some amazing stuff in there!

This is where my inspiration came from:

and this is what I came up with! :)

I stamped the Linden Branch from Unity Stamp Co. in versamark on the blue. Then I stamped it on the green and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.

They journaling reads "I absolutely loved this sweatshirt on you. You are a cute little piglet! You made such cute faces when you were wearing it, that I couldn't resist making a page of it. I wish I had one in a bigger size so you could still wear it. I guess I will have to find something else that looks adorable on you. "

Hello!!! :) Happy Hip Hop Hangover!! I just want to share a quick layout that I made the other day.

It uses the March kit of the month from Unity Stamp Co, and the just my type alpha set. The journaling reads "I took these pictures and was like oh my gosh! My baby is going to be 4 in a couple months. You look so much older in these pictures. It truly shocks me. Where have these precious years gone????????"

Hip Hop Thursday!

Hello ladies! :) As you know, today is hip hop Thursday! HOORAY! This is my favorite day of the week, because I get to chat with all my fabulous friends as long as I want.
This weeks Unity Addicts challenge was brought to us by Cindi, and the challenge was to use brown, pink, orange and turquoise. This is the card I came up with! :)

I just got this stamp in the mail yesterday. I won it from VSN! :) It is the linden branch from Unity Stamp Co. woo hoo!!! You can't see in the picture, but I stamped the linden branch on the orange cardstock with versamark.

Speaking of VSN, I was chosen to be a VSN showgirl!!! :) I am so excited to be able to hostess my own challenge! This Sat. we are having a mini VSN, so if you can stop by to play along! We are also having a mini in April, and then the big one in May! woo hoo! Well that's all for now!

Hello ladies!!! :) This is my first challenge as an Etsy Inspired DT Member and I can’t tell you how excited I am!!! I am joining an incredibly talented group of ladies! Tonya, Taylor and I are going to be helping out for a couple months while Ashley gets ready, and has her baby boy! Yay Ashley! I will be the only one on the team that will make a layout every week instead of a card.

So the challenge this week is to take inspiration from one of the bags in the Allie Beans shop!! This is the bag that I chose:

I love this layout!! :) It uses images from the set Love Birdies by Unity Stamp Co. Of course I am a little biased since it is a pic of my sweet little girl, Raine! :)
She got mad at me tonight, and said "I'm not your sweetie anymore!" She didn't want to go to bed... so that meant she couldn't be my sweetie apparently! lol

Here is a little notebook I whipped up tonight while watching ER! It seriously took me like 5 minutes! :)

Hip Hop Hnagover and some blog candy!

Hello!! :) I am back! Our move was good. Unfortunately we came home to over a foot of snow, and no power. All is good now though! I figure what better way to come back than with blog candy! Hooray!!! I will tell you more about it in just a minute!

Yesterday was of course, another awesome Hip Hop! :) I always have a great time talking with my friends, and making new ones! Tanis came up with the cutest set EVER!!! I soooo wish I had a job right now so that I could get this set. The turtles and mushroom are adorable!! It is called you+me=happy and you can find it at Unity Stamp Co. (best stamp co. ever!!!!!!!!!)

So as always, we were given a challenge by Jeanne! One of them was called Unity Happiness, and you had to make a card or project that would make someone smile. I made this layout, and know I succeeded because Jeff smiled when he saw it. :) hehe

I started with a sketch that I found on Paper Craft Planet at the Scrappy Sunday group. I thought it was super cute so that is what I started with.
I distressed the edges of my vanilla background, distressed the edges and inked it up with colorbox chalk-chestnut roan, layed down the DP(I think it is Basic Grey, not positive!), put down my pic and matted it with a cutout I had laying around, added the ribbon, embellies, and little dear by Unity.

So onto the bl0g candy, the first person to guess where this picture was taken, wins a random Unity Stamp. It could be from my stash, or it could be from the Unity grab bag that I am waiting for!! :) Please only 1 guess per person!!! Thank you!!

lots of cards before the big move!!!!

Hey there ladies!! I made a couple cards before I had to pack all my stuff up for the big move( only 2 days away!!!!!!!!!).

So I was trying to go out of the box and not just Unity, so I checked out the Verve forum on SCS and decided to participate in the challenges there. :) So I did this card for the second challenge of them month. You have to use the sketch and the *twist* which was no DP!!!

The next Verve challenge was to use the sketch provided, and the *twist* which was the card had to be monochromatic. I don't think I have ever made a monochromatic card before this one! And I absolutely love it! :)

Next is a card I messed up on. hehe.. so this card was originally going to be my Verve challenge that was supposed to be monochromatic.. but I forgot that little detail. oops. I used the sketch.. but used lots of colors. lol So I just kept going with it for Jeff's Uncle's B-Day yesterday.

And finally the last card I made was using the Verve sketch, but this time I didn't use the twist on purpose. Instead the card was made for the Etsy Inspired Challenge from Ashley. The jewelry shop this week was gorgeous!!!! I loved all the pieces there! They were all so girly and feminine which is what I went for with this card! :)

So that's it for now! :) I probably won't be able to post again until after the move for the exception of my post about the Etsy blog hop)! I will be settled in just in time for the big blog hop from the Etsy Inspired girls! :) yay! I can't wait!

Hello ladies! :) Today we were given another Unity Addicts challenge! yippee! The challenge was to make a smaller than normal card, use one image, one sentiment, and bright colors. So I decided to make a scrapling(sp?).

The stamp is So & So Loves by Unity. The sentiment is from Simply Said by Unity. The cardstock is bazzill, and the black sheer ribbon is from my stash!

I made a card this morning for cc205 on SCS. The challenge was to use pink pirouette, kiwi kiss, and perfect plum. I just got a box of goodies yesterday from eclectic paperie. I ordered 5 beautiful packs of basic grey, and the eva set was perfect for this color challenge. This card is for a wonderful women who's birthday is right around the corner. Hip Hop Hangover!

Hi Everyone!!
Today I have 2 new cards using Unity stamps on them. The first one uses a tree from tiny trinity and a swirl from growing in unity. Jeanne gave us a challenge at hip hop yesterday, to use gel pen on your card or project. I make dots on the scallops of the circle, and I stamped the swirls and then drew over them with my gel pen. We were also give a sketch challenge this week by Amber, so I used that on the card as well. Here is the card I made! :)

I also made a Unity card for the Unity Addicts challenge this week! I can't believe how long it has been going on! This weeks challenge was given to us by Carole! The challenge was to use a non-Valentines stamp in a Valentine's way! We also had to use ribbon and buttons on the card. So this is the card I made! :)
